Lightning Protection

LEC technology is designed to prevent strikes. The DAS has been specially engineered to be optimized for the correct discharge; it allows no buildup of lightning streamers or counter leaders thus preventing lightning strikes. This careful approach is based on studies done in Japan, Russia, and our U.S. based technology development center. In addition, each DAS design is engineered to be the most effective protection for each site, and comes with our "No Strike Warranty".

DAS prevents lightning strikes at thousands of sites in over 60 countries, with a 99.87% success rate measured over 40,000 system years.

Lightning can have devastating effects on any operation, whether taking a direct strike or simply being subjected to the secondary effects of nearby strikes.

Our lightning prevention systems are used wherever these dangers pose unacceptable risks to operations, personnel, or property - flammables and hazmat storage, towers and tall structures, power generation and distribution, even facilities covering over a square mile in area.

Who uses LEC solutions?

  • Refineries, Tank Farms, Hazardous Materials Sites
  • Electric Utilities, Nuclear Plants, Wind Farms
